DL To AF Connection At JFK

Sat May 22, 2010 4:18 pm

I am traveling to CDG via JFK on Friday, 28th.
I get into JFK on DL and connect to AF7 (my first A380 experience)

My question is is 2 hours sufficient to connect from T2/T3 to T1.
What is the fastest way to connect?
Will I have to clear security again at JFK?

AirTrain from T2/3 to T1 is the fastest way; you will need to reclear TSA at JFK.

If you are in T2, the easiest way is to walk from T2 to T1; the terminals are so close together that it should take you no more than 5 minutes. You will have to clear TSA again at T1 of course.

Thanks for your suggestions.

Assuming my flight into JFK is on time, will 2 hours be sufficient to connect?
I am considering the long weekend rush on Friday evening

The easiest way is to take the airtrain to T2/3, since you're arriving in T1, it would be easier since T2/T3 is the next stop (less than a minute). Make sure that you're taking the AirTrain that's going to ALL TERMINALS because the other one goes to Howard Beach or Jamaica Stations.
It's a cultural thing.

It is the other way... I will be arriving in T2/T3 and will have to go to T1.
I read somewhere that the AirTrain serving all terminals runs in a clockwise direction. In such a case, T1 will be the first stop after T2
