Traveling On Ryanair For The First Time

Tue Jun 01, 2010 2:21 pm

I have a backpack and a really small bag. Are they going to make me check one of them? And how bad is the legroom going to be for someone like me who is 6'5"?

Thank goodness it's just an hour flight between BHX and DUB.
Welcome aboard!

I'm pretty sure it's 1 cabin piece only regardless of size.

As for legroom, you'll probably hate it unless you manage to grab an aisle seat.

Yep, just one item of cabin baggage, regardless.

The legroom is pretty terrible. I'm 6'2" and I find it uncomfortable. However, if you get yourself the emergency exit row, you'll be ok. Priority Boarding probably required for that though, £4 each sector.

And if you dont have the barcode on the boarding pass or it says you need a visa, go to check in desk, they'll help.

Yup, only 1 piece of hand luggage, I am not so sure how strictly they enforce this, since I have seen people getting on with backpacks and bags.

As for the seatpitch, I have found it to be OK, I certainly seen worse (JK and IB) but you will be OK, besides its only 1 hour.

Enjoy!

That's the block time, that includes the flight time, taxi time at both ends, and time for short delays. In probability, the flight will be around 40 minutes.

regardless of size.

If unsure, you can use the uniform dimensions to make sure they won't charge 35 EUR for a Gate Bag. Or just try to make your hand luggage fit in the hand luggage "thing" displayed at most FR airports.

Again, cabin baggage size DOES matter ^^
