DL 757-300 F Seats

Wed Jun 02, 2010 12:50 am

Hello there,
I have a domestic trip coming up on DL 757-300 in F seat 3D. What kind of seats, IFE and all should I expect?

I don't think DL has put as much effort into the 753 as they have done with the 752. I think it will still have the NW F seats with the video monitor overhead.

As far as I know not much has changed. It should be a NW seat with a leather cover. IFE is through overhead flip-down LCDs. I think DL removed the footrest though, which doesn't make sense to me.

NW seat with a leather seat cover now - fold down tray tables (not a big fan of this in F...), no inseat power, not sure if the wi-fi is good to go yet, flip down LCD screens. Overall not one of the better first class products domestically.

Thanks everyone,
I am a bit disappointed. I was expecting something more in the lines of transcon 738s if not better. I just didn't know. Otherwise I would have chosen another routing. Oh well, it is another type for the log book.

DL 738s in F aren't the best in terms of space. They cram a lot of seats up front in both transcon and regular configurations. The seats are comfy but no winged headrests or anything. The DL 753s might even have more space in between the seats than the 738.

I'm thinking about flying LAX-MSP-EWR in july on DL with the 753 into MSP and the 738 into EWR. Seems like a interesting routing.

I wouldn't be too disappointed. Now I last flew F on the 753 back when it was a NW product and service, but I had a very enjoyable ride. I liked the seats, the room, and the service. The only thing it wasn't tops on was IFE. IMO, the overall product likely isn't as good currently as it was last summer, but it still should be solid.

Better than most of the other domestic former NW domestic fleet with no IFE at all such as the 320.
