Whats The Secret?

Thu Jun 03, 2010 6:28 am

I see it in the chat room, people are just planning these 'little' trips like thousands of miles away to go spot with friends or something, and I wonder, how you can just do that because it can be expensive to do that, especially only a week or 2 in advance. In conclusion, for you people who will spontaneously go halfway across the world to go spot for 2 days, how do you do it? Any additional information would be much appreciated

Most of these guys travel non-rev. You have to be airline staff to make use of this privelege.

I do it the regular way, there's always at least some affordable destinations when leaving AMS.

A good number of the people you see in the chat room actually work for airlines, or travel for business very often. Right now almost half of the people in there are airline employees, so they non-rev (in other words, they can sometimes only plan a few days in advance and it costs them very little to nothing to go).

There is also the possibility that people are making it up. I wish no disrespect to anyone, but it happens on here as it does everywhere. On the whole as others say, it's non revving which enables people to travel so frequently at short notice.

And of course there are the mileage junkies that will snap up a cheap fare to snag some FF miles. I would wager that there are a few such people here.
