Last Sep, I requested United for a Premier Executive status (based on my Platinum status on Delta). I eventually fell short of flying the required minimum mileage to retain that status. Now, the United Website shows my status as 'Member', which is what it should be. However, when I purchased an award ticket last week, I was allowed to pick seats in Economy Plus for no charge despite seats being available in Economy. Today, when I checked in online, the boarding pass had 'Prem Exec' printed on it.
Isn't this weird?
Being in the IT industry, I can guess that United' website / Online database is different from their reservations/ticketing database. But, I am surprised that they are not kept in synch.
