Any Good Spotting Areas At BWI?

Sun Jun 27, 2010 5:14 pm

I'm going over to BWI on the 4th of July to spend the day with my father as he has only one leg DTW-BWI. I would like to watch his plane come in (DC-9) but am not sure where any good spotting areas are. Can someone help me out?

Yes - Friendship park (on dorsey road) is at the end of 33L. When I lived in the area I would go there frequently to watch arrivals. My favorite was always the BA flight - change up from the US planes (that tells you how long ago it was).

And there is an observation area pre-security between B & C. Use the map here for more: http://www.bwiairport.com/files/pdfs/bwi_maps/Upper_Map_03-2010.pdf

Enjoy!
I want to live in an old and converted 727...
