How To Find Aircraft Reg. On A Future Flight

Sat Jul 03, 2010 2:29 pm

Hey guys,

I'm leaving tonight (technically tomorrow) from JFK to ICN with OZ. I tracked OZ 222 and it departed ICN and according to flightaware.com, it is a Boeing 747-400. I'm assuming that B747 will be my ride to ICN, anyways, is it possible to identify the reg of the B744? or any other future flights (by future i mean, several hours up to a day)

According ACARS today's OZ 222 is operated by HL7418.

Thanks For your reply. But it can't be HL7418 because 7418 is a B747-400 passenger and OZ 221/222 is scheduled as a B747-400 Combi. Anyways, I did some research, it's going to be operated by HL7421

On CO.com you can see which a/c will operate your flight up to two days before departure.

I just checked that out and it´s pretty neat. You can find all sort of information there even stuff like where your aircraft is coming from, the standby list, the upgrade list and the seatmap.

I believe Aeroflot also list registrations on their arrival/departure pages not sure how accurate it is though
