Getting An E170/175 From MCO To PHL?

Wed Jul 14, 2010 5:39 am

Hi All

Not sure if this thread belongs in CivAv or another forum...

I'm looking at going to PHL from MCO the first week of August, and really want to try and get on an E170/175, I know I'd have to fly DL, UA or US to get on one, but I can't seem to find any flights to say DCA, CLT, ATL, CVG etc that connect to an E-Jet flight to PHL. Can anyone advise on specific flights that operate the type into PHL?

Cheers

go to BOS and connect on US to PHL. almost all flights out of BOS are operated by EJets. MCO-BOS you can do with B6 so you would have on both flights the EJet

Quoting MCO2BRS (Thread starter):

Only E75s i see into PHL on Delta would be from MSP.
ATL is all M/L(mostly M88s with a few 737 and 757s)
JFK is all 50 seaters. As is CVG
DTW is most DC9 a few 32S and a few 50 seaters
MEM is 1 50 seater and 2x CR9s
MSP is 1 E75 1x CR9 2 319 and 1 757.
SLC is 1x 320 1x 738

From MCO
ATL is all 757.
MSP is 2x 320 2x 757
DTW is 2x 320 5x 757
LGA is 4x M88 1x 320 1x 319
JFK is 2x M88 1x 738
MEM is 1x M88 2x 320.
SLC is 2x 757.
New airliners.net web site sucks.

There are 1 or 2 E70s offered by US from ATL to PHL depending on the day. That would get you a long E70 flight on US I would then just recommend a cheap airtran or delta ticket to ATL since its such a short flight this would get you a E70 for the long portion. Both segments are pretty fare competitive as three airlines operate them but thats pretty soon and this summer fares have been pretty high

Thanks for the info guys, I don't normally get up to the Northeast that often, and that seems to be where there is a higher concentration of E170/5/90 routes. Usually my domestic US travel is out to CA/OR/WA, and I've never seen a connection option for an Ejet on the routes I fly out there.

Interestingly, on US, connections were showing up between PHL and CLT on 767 & A330's, thats rather tempting but I've flown both types more times than I can remember.

Cheers

There is 1 PHL-CLT round trip on 767 and 332 per day for positioning. Oddly enough, they are usually full.
