B6 Departure Gates At PDX

Wed Jul 14, 2010 4:15 pm

Hello all,

I flew out of PDX on B6 at the end of June. We departed out of E3, just like B6 always has.

Today I was on the PDX website, and it says that B6 now uses gate C6, on the other side of the airport in the C Concourse.

What's up with that?

Hhmm..not very knowledgable with B6 ops in PDX. It could be that UA is in need of all the E gates and therefore B6 had to find another home for the time being. On a side note, I'll take the C gates over E anyday!!

There was a thread about on goings at PDX, but in essence the airport has raised terminal rents substantially so airlines including United are vacating non essential space. So as a result, United no longer handles JetBlue in PDX with its previous excess facilities. JetBlue uses ATS now.

Interesting. But UA still takes over the E Concourse, right? Not sure I know what ATS is...

How recently did this happen?
