Opinions On Vietnam Airlines' J Product

Thu Jul 29, 2010 3:30 am

Hi!

I am scheduled to fly to MEL some time this year. Luckily I will get to fly J.
Now, since I am Platinum on AF/KL, I am looking at the SkyTeam options. Sadly KE is way overpriced, aka they cost around 3000 Euros more in J than QF or EK in F!
So now I have seen some good fares on Vietnam Airlines.
Never flown with them, but I have always loved their livery.
So, if anybody can give me any input, I'd be very happy.

Thanks a lot!
Where have all the tri-jets gone...

I just completed my 66 flight with VN. Mostly domestic, so not much need (or opportunity) for flying up front, however I have flown ICN-SGN and SGN-KUL-SGN with them in J. Not a bad product and as with all Asian airlines you are treated very well. And the FAs are hot.

I am Platinum on DL and I am very glad that VN is now a member of Skyteam.

Go for it, you will enjoy.

Well, if you don't mind flying to MEL on KE ex IST, go for IST-ICN-MEL on KE in J for something in the 2,200-2,300 EUR range for J (!) -
