Europe - USA -first Arrival Of The Day?

Sat Aug 14, 2010 8:32 am

Hi folks.

This may have been asked before but what is the first arrival of the day (scheduled flight) from Europe to anywhere on mainland USA/Canada?

Is see AF22 CDG -JFK arrives at 10h20 - do any arrive earlier or is this one of the first?

Is there a complete list of all flights over the Atlantic on any particular day anywhere on the net?

Many thanks

I assume you're right. AF22 may be the earliest to arrive on US soil. The earliest flight from LHR to JFK arrives at 11-ish.

UA923 LHR/IAD is also an early arrival, schuled in at 1040 daily.

Haven't seen anything earlier than AF22, unless you consider Israel to be Europe...

CO91 arrives EWR from TLV at 04.25.

Not exactly. ORD is 1 hour behind JFK, so it actually arrives 55 minutes after AFR022.

if you want to include the regular USAF troop charters these would beat them all:

RD0341 LEJ - DFW 03:45AM - 07:00AM
WO8529 LEJ - BGR 12:30AM - 01:40AM

I guess this is because, while being just a little farther away than London, Paris is in a timezone that allows "early" departures to be 1 hour earlier. Maybe the city that would have the best chance in this case would be Lisbon, being 400km closer and still in the same timezone, but I guess the O/D doesn't need an early departure.

And UA945 FRA-ORD arrives just 15 minutes later. Departure FRA at 08h25 (=the first departure from FRA to the USA), arriving ORD 10h35

Thanks for all your replies everyone...

Looks like (by fluke) I happened to mention the earliest arrival after all onto US soil.

Makes me wonder then what the latest arrival is - latest i have found so far is VS17 LHR -EWR arriving at 23h10 but then I havent taken into account the 3 hour time diff with the West coast so maybe something else beats Virgin 17 !

Cheers....

On a seperate note, does anyone know were one can find out about an airlines future scheduling, for example like knowing when an airline's summer 2011 schedule would be updated? Would hostesses and stewardess know?

....and for Europe to USA, the FCO to IAD flight (ETH500) arrives around 07:45 local time, much earlier than AFR022.

Sorry guys, but you're all wrong. The earliest arrivals will be from either DHL, FedEx or UPS, departing and thus arriving way earlier than any of the inferior passenger carrying airlines, in order to be able to make deliveries before noon.

A shame the Concorde isn't still flying. That would have had everyone beat.

Did a two-minute search, and the winner thus far is LH8188 that departed FRA at 0220 and arrived ORD 0423. This is based on the 13th August and www.flightstats.com

Other early cargo arrivals (on the same date and from the same site) include:

FX101 that departed CDG at 0259 and arrived MEM at 0431.

A DHL machine that departed LEJ at 0325 and arrived JFK 0515.

An LH M1F that departed FRA at 0340 and arrived JFK 0534.

An ABX 76F that departed LGG at 0453 and arrived JFK at 0627.

Any arrival earlier than 0423?

Lisbon is in the same time-zone as London, not Paris... you're right about the O/D, though, no need for anything that early (although depending on their connecting banks at EWR and PHL, CO and US might be able to pull it off).
Read this very carefully, I shall write this only once!

For conventional overnight USA-Europe passenger service, DLH 417 (IAD-FRA) will be the first to land in Europe at about 5:10 local time. For an earlier local time that is actually later, BAW 212 will land at LHR at about 4:50 local time (almost an hour later than DLH 417).
