VS45 LHR-JFK 26th Aug

Scheduled for 1400 departure, ETD 2030

Anyone know the reasoning?
Only interested as me n mrs e195 are flying on the 7th on it

Not sure about the reasoning, but Flight Status tracking on FlightStats reveals a cascading sequence of delays announced at three different times.

The first reported delay was for 2 hours, revised upwards to 5 hours and subsequently 6.5 hours. Could it be equipment trouble?

If it's a B744 then it may be that G-VBIG is the cause of the problem. All the others (VWOW, VHOT, VROC) are in the air whereas VBIG didn't seem to fly yesterday after arriving from MIA on the 24th. Maybe a repair taking longer than expected?
