Question About Morning Flights To EWR From LHR

Tue Aug 31, 2010 5:41 pm

Hi, I like Flightstats.com for information. I have an upcoming flight from LHR to EWR and looking at their information it appears that most morning flights from the UK suffer a poor on time arrival while afternoon departures have a much better on time arrival rate. Why would this be pls?

I think the likely reason is that there is less (none in some instances) slack time to turn the aircraft around.

Where would the a/c come in from for that early of a departure? India, perhaps?

Busy time at Heathrow too. I took BA's morning flight to EWR en route to Airliners International 2010 the other week, and yes, we pushed late and only made some of the time up in the air, blocked in twenty mins behind schedule. But that wasn't too bad, and the flight was fantastic. My next trip to NY is aboard the Poor Man's Concorde, BA's jumbo out of Heathrow at 0855, into Kennedy at 1130.
fly Saha Air 707s daily from Tehran's downtown Mehrabad to Mashhad, Kish Island and Ahwaz
