EK Equipment At GLA

Tue Aug 31, 2010 9:12 pm

Hello All

I am travelling on EK28 on Sept 26th and was wondering what equipment is used on this route.
I had heard that both GLA and BHX were served by new aircraft.
Since I will be travelling in Y, I wanted to know if the aircraft had the newer hard product.
After spending 15 hours on EK434 in Y i'm not the biggest fan of the older style seats.
Any reviews from fellow A.netters?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

The answer will be given by EK!

Visit their web-page, select "Flying with Emirates" and choose "Services by Flight". Have a look on the seat-map and you will know: old interiors!

..not!!

EK will be no help in what you will actually get.

Scheduled on that route is the newly 2-class configured 77Ws, A6-ECY and A6-ECZ. Apparently A6-EBD and A6-EBF also have the new product installed but there have been conflicting reports.
GLA see all of the above a/c on a regular basis however the newer, and in my opinion, better a/c, ECY and ECZ haven't made an appearance for a while now.
Here's a list of EK a/c used on the GLA route last month:

A6-EBD - 8 Visits, 2 class aircraft - new interior, unconfirmed
A6-ECZ - 8 Visits, 2 class aircraft - new interior
A6-ECY - 3 Visits, 2 class aircraft - new interior
A6-EBA - 3 Visits, 2 class aircraft - old and now out of service for a refit of some sort
A6-EBL - 2 Visits, 2 class aircraft - old
A6-EBV - 2 Visits, 2 class aircraft - old
A6-EBT - 1 Visit, 2 class aircraft - new interior, unconfirmed
A6-EBX - 1 Visit, 2 class aircraft - old
A6-EBH - 1 Visit, 2 class aircraft - old
A6-EBF - 1 Visit, 2 class aircraft - new interior, unconfirmed
A6-EBP - 1 Visit, 2 class aircraft - old

Hope that helps.

Dont know if this helps, but here is a link:

As said above not all 77W's have the new seats and/or the new award winning ice Digital Widescreen, but its better than flying an EK A330 because that aircraft doesnt have AVOD. But the 777's all have AVOD.
Flown on: A300, A319, A320, A321, A330(-200,300), A380, B717, B737(-400,700,800,900), B747, B777(-200,300), B787-9, Embraer 170, Fokker 70
