KE 777-200 New Economy Class Question

Sun Nov 21, 2010 6:25 pm

KE has been advertising their new Economy Class seats on their website. One of the features of their new economy is that every seat has power outlets. I've seen various YouTube videos of passenger experiences, but I am still not able to figure where the power outlets are located. Where are the power outlets located in reference to the seated passenger?

The power outlet is usually located below the middle seat on the 3-3-3 B777-200 versions. I think it is located on the seat support between the middle and window seat. One outlet per seat grouping, not one outlet for every seat. On the newer B777s there is also a USB port next to the PTV screen.

There are a few B777-200 with the older 2-5-2 seat arrangement and I do not think those have the power outlets. They do not have PTVs.

All KE 777s (including the 300s) now feature new seats. The last one to fly in the old configuration, HL7575, went through a retrofit in September of this year.

And HL7575 was the last B777-200 I flew on that had 2-5-2 in Y.
