Largest Planes That Can Be Flown By One Pilot?

Thu Dec 16, 2010 6:09 pm

I was wondering, what are the largest aircraft that can (legally) be flown by one pilot, not requiring a 2-pilot crew? Just in case I ever get stinking rich one day, I was wondering what I could buy to fly around in, but not need another person to fly.
Like a Rockwell Commander? Could I fly that alone if I was type rated?

Here is an old thread on this same topic:

I think the SR-71 may be the winner.....
Per the SR-71's flight manual, it could be flown single pilot.
