Advice On ONT

Tue Dec 21, 2010 2:11 am

Never been. flying out midday wednesday. What should I expect in terms of parking, TSA transit times (few days before christmas), travel time from Downtown LA, etc. Where should I get lunch?

Thanks

Parking is pretty easy with open lots across from both terminals. LAWA also has a cheaper lot (#5) a bit further away, but still walkable from the terminal(esp T-4). There are several off airport private lots also you can utilize.

Peak wait times for TSA per LAWA doc I have range between 3-8mins for time periods between noon and 2pm, with T-2 being the busier of the two terminals.

There's an Applebee's post-TSA at Terminal 2.

That being said, there's an In-N-Out that's about a 3 minute drive from Terminal 2 across the street from the Sheraton right after you get off I-10.

Compared to many airports, expect it to be a pleasure. ONT is a great little airport.

Since ONT is my home airport, i'll agree.
Dining - like Deltaairlines said, you best bet would be to exit at Vineyard, as the post-security choices can be sparse.

I'd rather eat inside, just so I can relax. I'm flying US, which I believe is T4.

Any parking where I won't get soaked in the monsoons we are having?

Pretty nice little airport. Travel time from LA can be lengthy I've driven from LAX before I want to say it took 3 hours. For it's size there were a fair number of eating choices.
Enough about flying lets talk about me!

According to ONT's website, T4 has a TGI Friday's and a Carl's Jr. post-security.
