My Concepts For New DL 752 Domestic Configurations

Mon Jan 17, 2011 10:26 pm

As everyone should know by now, Delta will be streamlining their domestic 757-200 configurations. The new configurations will be 28F/158Y for the aircraft with 8 doors, and 28F/164Y for the aircraft with 6 doors and 4 overwing exits.

Well, I was bored today, and decided to make my own concepts of seat maps on how they would be configured. So, I will share them here:

Left: New 8-door 757 layout concept
Right: New 6-door / 4 overwing exit layout concept

So, how close are these to the real planned configurations? The number of seats in each cabin are correct, however, I don't know if I have the overall layout exactly right.

The one on the right is the current transcon configuration but updated, will the rest of the planes being retrofitted receive AVOD?

Changes I made include that I removed the galley on the right aft of the front exits and replacing it with two F seats, and removed the two small galleys behind the lavatories in the rear while adding an extra row of Y seats.

As for AVOD, I'm not 100% sure, but I wouldn't be surprised.
