Connection Check In At NRT?

If I'm flying SFO-NRT on UA then NRT-BKK on NH, will I need to check in with ANA at NRT or will UA check me in for all segments???

If you booked a codeshare on NH with a UA code, then UA can check you in at SFO. Regardless of how you booked the ticket, luggage can be transferred. There are check in desks in the transfer area of Narita on the top floor before heading through security, so you can meet with NH there as well so even if you have to check in, it will only add a few minutes of time.

UA - NH connections are pretty easy in NRT. UA - JL connections on the other hand are not since you have to switch terminals.
If you have never designed an airplane part before, let the real designers do the work!
