Is 55 Minutes Enough To Connect At PHL?

Fri May 06, 2011 3:33 am

Hi all,

I'm flying BUF-PHL-SEA and I have a 55 minute layover at PHL on the 18th. It seems that my flight will arrive at concourse C and depart from B. Is that enough time to connect at PHL? Should I reconsider checking luggage?

Here are my flight details:

US3343 BUF-PHL 0520-0635
US70 PHL-SEA 0730-1022

Many thanks for your help!

It's plenty, you'll be fine. Thinking back I've done a 30 or 40 minute connection in PHL with checked luggage, but it was Express to Express so same concourse. I honestly think you'll be fine though unless there's a freak snowstorm.

I concur. This is more than enough time. I've done 30 min connects with Express (F concourse) to Mainline (B concourse) without any problem. B and C aren't that far.

I have done a 55 minute connection (at times even less) and did not have any problems. This is as long as the weather in PHL is cooperating, if weather goes downhill and they decide to put everyone under flow control you might have isues. But other than that you should be ok.

If they put in flow control it will more than likely impact your connecting flight as well.

You should be able to make a nice leisurely walk from C to B in about 10 minutes or less.

Thanks for the advice guys!

I'm glad to hear that the connection is doable. Hopefully there shouldn't be too much congestion in the early morning.
