Aircraft You Have Flown The Most

Sun May 29, 2011 8:55 am

Ok not the most thought provoking topic I know but what plane have you flown on the most? For me it was Ryanairs EI-CJE. I have flown her 4 times. Consider myself lucky as she was my favourite plane.

I'm only going to start taking regs starting my coming flight in two weeks, but as far as types go, it's the 737-800 (I lost count).

1. 737 (83 flights)
2. 757 (56 flights)
3. ERJ (36 flights)
4. MD80 (27 flights).

After that is a long list of other planes, including the venerable 727, Fokkers, MD-11s and DC-10s, a smattering of weird prop jobs, etc.

By the way, this thread belongs in the "POLLS" forum, and will probably be moved there before I have time to hit 'send'.

5 times on EI-DVG of Aer Lingus... followed by 4 times of EI-DEE of Aer Lingus.

My top aircraft are the A320-200 - 61 times, followed by the B737-800 - 38 times, then the B747-400 - 18 times.

Top airlines are Aer Lingus and Qantas.

I don't keep a log, but I think it would be the 757 or the A340. (Mostly -200's and a mix of 300's and 600's for the latter...)
The 747 will always be the TRUE queen of the skies!

I also don't keep a log as I'd don't remember most of the aircraft types I flew on between the age of 2 and ~15 although my most flown on type would probably be B738 (FR and SA etc) and B773ER (EK). I flew on Etihad's A332 (A6-EYS) twice in a row (from JNB-AUH and then 2.5 hours later from AUH-MAN), same row but opposite side window seat, I got to sit in the Captain's seat after the flight    :

I have flown on more DC-9s than any other type of aircraft. If you you include MD-80s in the mix that probably makes 200 plus trips in the type. I would say a very distant second would be a 757.

Flying Ozark, TWA, Northwest, and Delta DC-9s out of the cities I have lived my entire life made flying on DC-9s a regular occurrence.

I didn't start noting down registration numbers until a few years ago, so I can't say with absolute certainty - but I know I've been on ZK-SUH twice.

As far as aircraft types go, the list is as follows:

9 x Airbus A330 (1 x A330-200, 8 x A330-300)
8 x Boeing 747 (3 x 747-200, 2 x 747-300, 3 x 747-400)
8 x Boeing 767 (2 x 767-200, 6 x 767-300ER)
4 x Boeing 777 (2 x 777-200ER, 2 x 777-300ER)
3 x Boeing 737 (2 x 737-400, 1 x 737-800)
2 x Airbus A340 (A340-300)
2 x Fokker 100

I began taking detailed track of my flights in 2004, so it's an incomplete list, but it is at least 75-80% of my all time flights. From that spreadsheet:

737 Series (-300/400/500/700/800): 15
757 (-200 only): 17
767 (-200/300): 5
777 (-200 only): 6
A32X Family (A319/320/321): 41
CRJ Series (-200/700/900): 23
Dash 8 (-200): 2
EMB-120: 12
Embraer Jets (-145/170/190): 10
MD-80/90: 4
SAAB 340: 4

Looks the A32X Family won, with 41, and the A320-200 wins as the individual type with 26 flights.

This is a hard one. It seems like I was always flying on 727's. But I think the number one plane has to be the 767. Although many times that was paired with a 757 and I have been on many US domestic 757 flights. I know I have been on 8 747's. But still the 767 wins.

EI-DUZ, an Airbus A330-302 belonging to Aer Lingus. Nicknamed "St Aoife", I've flown her 4 times - all in Summer 2008:
1. Shannon (SNN) - Dublin (DUB)
2. Dublin (DUB) - Chicago (ORD)
3. Chicago (ORD) - Dublin (DUB)
4. Dublin (DUB) - Shannon (SNN)

In terms of aircraft type, the A330-300 wins with 29 flights (all Aer Lingus)

Couldn't tell you the number of times, but the A320 series for sure. Mostly between YOW-YYZ and YOW-YVR.

I flew 7 times on HS-TND

DC 9 series 10 though 50 ...at least 550 trips
757 over 200 without looking in the flight log
727-100 and 200 comes in third somewhere around 150-200 rides..

Top airplane: N386CH, one of my employer's ERJ-135 corporate shuttles, which I have flown on 17 times. That is only counting flights where I bothered to note the registration number; there were other flights on the shuttles before I started recording the registration numbers.

Top type: As you would expect, the ERJ-135, all of which were corporate shuttle flights. I have taken exactly 100 flights on those ERJs.

Only counting commercial flights, I have flown on Boeing 737-(300/400/500/700/800)s the most, which at 16 flights is a very distant second. I don't know the reg numbers for most of those, so I don't know if there's any specific aircraft I'm been on more than others.
