Service On BA Cityflyer Ex LCY

Sat Jun 11, 2011 12:17 am

I'm looking at booking a flight on BA Cityflyer, the 09.35am flight to Madrid. Not having flown many BA shorthaul routes in Europe, what is the onboard meal service likely to be? Basically, would it consist of a drink and pack of nuts (as my last UK domestic LHR-MAN flight was) necessitating purchase of breakfast at the airport, or would a meal be served?

Thanks in advance

On my morning departures (roughly 7-9am) out of AMS to LCY I always get a drink and a sandwich. I think the 'nuts' only apply on afternoon flights.

I'd advise filling up before getting on board. My last morning Y frlight on BA was ex LHR had a drink and sandwich which was about the size of one bite. The only times I've flown out of LCY was in J to MAD which had a hot breakfast, and on the JFK flight.

Quoting bill142 (Reply 2):

One bite sounds a bit small... the sandwiches I usually get on BA flights are about 10x5 cm's or so, usually with some creamy cheese, or chicken filet etc, typical British stuff imho.

Have a good one! And some McD is never a bad idea
