IFE On Thomson Airlines

Wed Aug 03, 2011 11:26 am

Can anybody tell me;

a) Do Thomson Airlines still provide IFE on their 737 flights (we are flying to Naples from Newcastle). I know Thomas Cook Airlines have stopped the IFE, unless you rent a PSP.
b) If they still provide it, what type of earphone sockets do they use, twin or single?

Regards,

IFE is available on all TOM aircraft other than the Boeing 737-300. NCL have 737-800's so IFE is available. Are you on the TOM1504/5? That's scheduled to be a Boeing 757-200 (TOM's schedule). Earphone sockets are twin mono so you'll need an adapter. TOM are expected to stop IFE from November in line with other operators so only IFE on long haul from then. Meals on short / mid also cease from November.

According to the Newcastle Airport website Summer Charter Schedule it's a 733.

It must have changed recently, because it was always a 738.

Can you send me the link to TOM's schedule?

I have a copy of the aircraft schedule for TOM over S11 and it's a 752 according to that. TOM don't publish their aircraft schedule online.
