Interlining On BA And LY?

Mon Oct 24, 2011 2:56 pm

Dear all,

My parents are traveling from Aberdeen to Tel Aviv next Monday, BA to LHR at 06.30, then onwards with El Al at approximately 14.00, as part of a pilgrim tour. They have, of course, quite a long lay-over at LHR. I was, however, wondering if there is an interline agreement between BA and El Al: Do they interline luggage at all, for security reasons?

My apologies if I'm asking an obvious!

Many thanks

So long as their itinerary is on one ticket (BA - 125 or LY - 114 ticket stocks) their bags will be checked through to TLV. Otherwise, technically, the BA agent in ABZ shouldn't check them through.
