DL 592 ORD-Paris 763

Fri Nov 04, 2011 11:45 am

Checking FlightAware last night, I saw that Delta 592, a 767-300 operating Chicago to Paris, dropped into Bangor, Maine for some unknown reason. First, I never knew that DL flew the ORD-Paris route! Second, FlightAware shows the plane going from Bangor to Paris, but not coming in from O'Hare.

Did this diversion actually happen? (In other words, was this another FlightAware 'glitch?')

Yes, the flight was diverted to BGR; the plane was only on the ground for about an hour, so I assume it was a medical diversion as a mechanical would likely require a longer sit.

Quoting chrisnh (Thread starter):
First, I never knew that DL flew the ORD-Paris route!

Due to the metal-neutral JV between DL and AF/KL/AZ, DL is flying ORD-CDG this winter in place of AF. AF metal is supposed to return in the spring.

For BNA...

I guess your FLIFO display is one of those where you have to call the Help Desk to decode the delay/divert???
