DL PTVs In 763 On Certain Routes?

Wed Dec 21, 2011 6:52 am

Quick question.

I read somewhere that DL has installed PTVs on certain 763s that are used on flights over 10-11 hours . Can anyone confirm this? And are these aircraft used on the JFK-IST routes?

Thanks as always

I am going to take a stab at this but I think the 763 fleet is like the 752 fleet, some of the PMDL 75s have the PTVs while others don't....It seems to be a gamble on which planes get it and which ones don't.

Seven 767-300ERs (known as the '76T') have nose-to-tail AVOD PTVs; the other 763ERs only have PTVs in Business currently, but are being modified to have PTVs at every seat as well.

JFK-IST just started getting the 76T this past Sunday, and is currently scheduled for the 76T for the rest of the winter (until late March 2012). You can tell if you're on a 76T by the seatmap (1-2-1 configuration in Business with 9 rows, and Economy beginning with Row 17).

Great information. Thanks a lot. Do you also happen to know which aircraft have already been converted to this configuration?
