Connecting At MAD With Ryanair

Wed Jan 11, 2012 3:30 pm

Hi all,

I'd like to book two FR flights to and from MAD on the same day, arriving at 12:15 and leaving at 14:25. I don't know if FR use jetbridges like at BCN, but if so, would it be possible for me to go directly at the gate for the next flight without having to exit and go through security again ? I flew FR to BCN last month and noticed it would be possible to do so as we exited to the terminal via a jetbridge...

Thanks for your advices.

I don't know the answer, but with 2h10 between flights, re-clearing security at MAD's old terminal is no problem either.
I think I once made it (back when T4 was still under construction) having 50 minutes left including a new check-in with Spanair.

All the times I were in MAD I realized FR was mostly using Jet bridges. If this is still the case you will come into the holding area and from there you can just walk to the next gate, not even need of clearing security. If you are bussed to the terminal you should be able to remain airside, too and follow connecting flights signs. no need to go landside. If you are coming from a non Schengen flight this will be different.

But in any case the connecting time seems fine to me.
