Can't say i've compared all options but based on advise from several friends i've bought a pair from Bose ( QuietComfort 15 ) & am very happy with them.
I believe in coincidences. Coincidences happen every day. But I don't trust coincidences.

my Bose QC15 are great...I cannot imagine flying without them. You'll still hear some voices and such, but the engine noise is largely drained out. Many times (most times), I'll sleep while wearing them on the plane, even if it's not plugged in to anything.

Agree 100%, the Bose are very good. Pay the money & you will be a happy chappy.
Got mine 4 yrs ago and would not dream of getting on a plane without them, light weight comfortable, just the best.

I have a pair of Sony MDR-NC60. At first I wanted to buy the QC15 from Bose but the Sony were $100 cheaper so the choice was easy. I'm really happy with them...
