I just heard something yesterday that blows my mind if it turns out it's true;
My grandson is in the U.K. for a year on some kind of student thing.........got a ridiculously low student fare going over, from CVG to London, a non-stop flight as far as I know.
He will be leaving the U.K. in September to come home; here's the "crazy part"..........he has told his Mom that he has found out that when he comes home, he can fly EAST, going all the way around the world, with stops in a whole bunch of places, then all the way back to CVG for the same, or possible even slightly less than the fare going direct on the way to the U.K. in the first place.
His main reason for wanting to do this is simply to "see" more of the world, rather than as an "economy" measure.
I don't know a thing about international air fares, but I'm sure many on A.net do; I would like to hear what anyone possessing knowledge of this has to say on the matter, any suggestions as to carriers, etc. ( Thanks in advance )
