DJ Selling Premium Seats Cheaper Than Coach - Why?

Sat Feb 11, 2012 7:12 am

Economy seats are $279, and Premium seats are $50 cheaper at $229.
Why is this? It does not make sense.

What exactly is "Flexi?"

I've seen this before with US and also AA. It has to do with availability of tickets in different fare buckets, and sometimes a discounted, nonrefundable first class seat is available while coach is down to the most expensive fully refundable tickets.
An excellent situation to come across, IMO, as it gives you a good excuse to buy F!

Flexi is Virgin Australia's business class in a way (not for long though)

No its not. Business class is business class. Flexi just means you get more options, but the same economy seats.

As the icons under the word helpfully illustrate, with Flexi you get complimentary luggage, IFE and food and drink.

That's odd, because I flew SYD-OOL on a flexi fare just last month and I was assigned 2A.
