Cheap 5th Freedom Flights Inside Europe?

Sat Feb 11, 2012 11:53 am

Hi,

I'm maybe going with my dad on one of his worktrips to PRG or somewhere other in Europe. He has agreed that if the flights are cheap enough he would maybe take me for some flights inside Europe for 1-2 days before we go home. I was planning on flying something on FR and W6 as I haven't flown these two, but I also would maybe want some cheap 5th freedom flights on US/S-American/African/Asian carriers. Do you know about any cheap ones? I know about LAN, Kuwait and these but haven't had time to check prices. Also, what other flights are there?

Thanks in advance.

Rgds,
Sveinn

This topic has been discussed a number of times already ...

On the top of my head ... VIE ZRH on KE as well as MUC MAN on SQ

Plus a plenty more, just do a search ...

Thanks though.

I found a routing that my dad will maybe agree with he says. There wasn't any cheap 5th freedom flight that matched our schedule so I settled for this. He's going on a meeting with Travel Service (one of many) in mid July and I found these flights for a 3 day period:

To get to PRG
Keflavik KEF - Stockholm ARN Icelandair Boeing 757-200 ID-tkt
Stockholm ARN - Prague PRG CSA Boeing 737-500

Day 1
Prague PRG - Milan BGY Wizz Air Airbus 320-200 42 €
Milan BGY - Catania CTA Windjet Airbus 319-100 50 €
Catania CTA - Rome FCO Alitalia Airbus 321-200 50 €

Day 2
Rome FCO - Marseille MRS Air France Airbus 319-100 36 €
Marseille MRS - London LGW easyJet Airbus 319-100 44 €
London LGW - Milan MXP Air One Airbus 320-200 36 €
Milan MXP - Berlin BER Air Berlin Boeing 737-800 40 €

Day 3
Berlin BER - Copenhagen CPH SAS MD-82 55 €
Some domestic roundtrip
Copenhagen CPH - Keflavik KEF Icelandair Boeing 757-200 ID-tkt

Maybe he will allow this, but if not, unfortunately he'll just take the usual KEF-CPH-PRG-CPH-KEF in Business on FI and OK and I will stay home. Hope not!

Check the 5th freedom flights thread, then check all the flights mentioned there. I've found many possibilities in the past between £50 and £100 on these flights, I'm sure it's still possible to work this into your trip.
