Skywest 5169 Diversion To GGG? Possible Emergency?

Tue Mar 06, 2012 5:28 am

I was wondering if anyone would happen to know about Skywest 5169. It departed IAH enroute for YYZ.

The flight looks like it barely made it to FL300 before making a fairly quick descent and landing at GGG. I find it unusual they diverted to GGG seeing as MQ is the only airline that serves GGG. I figured they would either divert to TYR, SHV, or even back to IAH seeing as all those places are served by United. I can only suspect they had some kind of an emergency? Does anybody happen to know why the diversion? It's very rare to see this airline at GGG.
