. It's pretty busy in the afternoon when the Europe flights arrive. It must be easier to tow an empty plane than a full plane. Plus, I think the pilot has input into that, and I'm not sure how that would happen if the pilot isn't there preflighting the plane and ordering his reserve fuel based on routing, weather, and stuff. Also, because ORD
often has irregular operations, and the planes have different destinations (Asia, Europe, Mexico, South America), that it wouldn't make sense to cater and provision them much in advance because the equipment might get swapped out. My opinions notwithstanding, I actually have no idea.
