Hi to you all, I would like to share a moment of unbelievable customer service of SIA.
I was booked from JFK to FRA and I hold a 2nd, separate ticket for FRA to HAM on LH (totally different booking!). Unfortunately, the SIA airlines flight was 3-4hrs delayed, so the next flight was for sure gone. I called LH and requested to be rebooked against charge to a later flight, which was not possible at all (all flights up to the limit booked).
I head over to SIA and was expecting "Sorry Sir, these are 2 different tickets, you are in charge to make the connection, not SIA", or, "Sorry Sir, you payed the lowest promo-fare and we have only 3hrs delay, this is not a cancellation at all- don't make such hassle".
So arrived at the counter, without any sign of hope to catch the connecting flight, and I was greeted with: "Sorry for the delay, but SIA would like to offer you a free re-booking onto the next LH flight without any charges leaving NOW, or you might stay here with us and 3 hrs delay!"
WOW, I was expecting at the maximum a snack voucher, but never ever a free re-booking for a 3 hrs. delay (especially after paying the lowest ticket-price)! Thank you SIA!
Anyone out here with same experiences with other carriers?!
