?s About A/C Used On Thomson MAN-CUN

Sun Jun 03, 2012 12:24 pm

Will be flying from Man to Cancun on the 27th, does anybody know which 763 will most likely to be operating the flight?
I have paid for an upgrade to the premium cabin, but have heard of people being 'downgraded' when a Thomson ship gets brought in to cover an ex-FCA aircraft.

Cheers

That only happens if a long haul config goes tech. there will be no way of predicting that this far out. Presume if youve booked Premium, you'll get Premium.

What are your flight numbers? TOM196/7 I assume? These are operated by First Choice 763's. Due to aircraft maintenance and refurbishment, some flights through May were changed to ex-TOM 76W's that have a smaller premium cabin (31 seats compared to 63), hence some passengers didn't get their premium seating and were refunded. All is back to normal now though so unless there's a technical issue on the day, you'll be on the aircraft originally planned.

Thanks for that Darren. Its nice to know refunds were offered. Looking forward to the break away, the summer season is already taking its toll on me, busy summer flying programme ahead.

I am on the 196/197, are they usually on a 76W?

It's the only aircraft type used on long haul although they have 2 non-wingletted aircraft (G-PJLO/DBLA) in the fleet. Aircraft are rotated weekly so it could be any of the fleet. There's a 66% chance of a 76W.
