I add to all the suggestions of IAHFLYR, particularly the Boeing Museum of Flight at BFI
. Right on the bus line from SEA
-TAC to downtown so any easy get to place by public transport.
Bus and the new LINK Light Rail will get you into town from the airport. The bus leaves from the street level baggage claim area to the far right as you exit the terminal building. Look for signs for new LINK station.
If you are interested in inexpensive airport area hotel, the RedRoofInn is a short walk via sidewalk directly in front of the terminal. Nearby restaurants and ask for a room facing the terminal for airplane action. The nearby Radisson and DoubleTree are very nice but much pricier.
Be sure to do a walk-on walk-off roundtrip on a ferry crossing Puget Sound. Great views of the SEA
skyline and harbor activity. Riding a ferry in SEA
ranks high on the list of things to do like drinking a cup of coffee there....
Easy to get to the Space Needle and Seattle EXPO area by public transport or monorail. Spectacular views of this beautiful city so don't miss it.
Fish &Chips because the Halibut is better than FL
Grouper, and even better washed down with Rainier Beer if you're old enough......
Lots of fun things to see and eat at Pike's Market.
Be safe and enjoy your trip!
Tom in TPA
watch what you want. you may get it.
