Flight With The Longest Average Ground Time?

Thu Jun 14, 2012 12:00 pm

Couldn't find this anywhere else.
Simple question, is there any data (or knowledge) out there on which flight (on average) has the highest day by day delay time due to long taxi, etc.)

Here’s the list of most delayed flights in the United States. ORD-EWR and ORD-LGA usually win for most delayed on any given month.

If you have never designed an airplane part before, let the real designers do the work!

On long range flights, the time that is required to taxi to/from the Polderbaan (36L-18R) is actually peanuts. On short haul flights the time is immense.

I disagree. I've been on many flights that use that runway and many have arrived at the gate early.. The taxi time seems to be built into the schedules and it's nothing compared to the total taxi and wating times at many other much more congested airports where, apart from the taxi time, you may be the 15th aircraft in line for takeoff and have to wait half an hour or longer before it's your turn. That rarely happens at AMS.
