COS And Wildfires

Thu Jun 28, 2012 12:07 am

Anyone have any insight on how COS is doing with the area wildfires. I know the fires are not that close to the field, but I am wondering if flights are being impacted. I've not seen anything online as yet but curious as I am scheduled into there tomorrow and out on Saturday.

Colorado Wildfires Affect Airlines, Fee Waivers Offered for Colorado Springs Travel

Right now only Frontier and United are waiving fees and there are delays at COS and a few at DEN.

Quote:
Frontier: For those scheduled to travel between June 27 and July 4 and purchased tickets on or before June 27, one free itinerary change is allowed but it must be made by June 30. Travel must be completed by July 7 or a fare difference may apply. Passengers must make changes by phone at (800) 432-1359.

United: For those scheduled to travel between June 27 and July 2, the change fee (and fare difference, if any) will be waived if travel begins by July 9. For later flights, a fare difference may apply.

I would not be surprised if other airlines do this as well.
