Why No AA EQM's For Flying B6?

Tue Jun 26, 2012 11:00 pm

I seem to recall that when AA & B6 announced reciprocal partnerships for their FF programs on select routes, AA said they are looking into AAdvantage members earning EQM's on those B6 flights. I realize that B6 doesn't have a tiered FF program, and the only other non-OneWorld carrier AAdvantage members can earn miles on is Alaska. But, with AA relying so heavily on B6 for non-stop routes that AA has dropped, ie. BOS-RDU, BOS-MCO, etc.:

1. What is the reason for AA not awarding EQM's for the B6 flights it allows mileage accrual?
2. Is there any expectation of this changing?

Whoa, this is news to me I had no idea that we would not get EQMs when flying B6...interesting, thanks for bringing this up, definitely curious to hear people's thoughts on this.
