Current Market Shares At ORF

Sat Jul 14, 2012 12:27 am

Back when I lived in the Hampton Roads area from 1994 to 2001, US Airways was the largest carrier out of ORF. After I moved to the Albuquerque area, WN began service to ORF, and quickly overtook US Airways as the #1 carrier there.

Does anyone know the current market shares at ORF? I think US may have fallen to third behind WN and DL, considering DL currently serves more destinations from ORF than US currently does.

Wait a minute!

This thread is not about DL, ABQ. 767-400ER or AVOD??????  Wow!

I found this, guess you could add these up & and get the answer:

I am assuming regionals are included because I can't imagine UA mainline flies to IAD

Those are top destinations served from ORF, not market shares. I know for a fact that WN is #1 there, but who is #2 now? And yes, by market shares regionals are included. UA presently doesn't have any mainline flights at all into ORF.

DL has gotten some of the former FL PHF traffic, particularly to ATL as WN has not yet started ORF-ATL (though they're advertising it heavily). I expect DL and WN to play leap-frog for a while when they start fighting over Atlanta.
