BNE-SIN On QF747-400

Sat Jul 28, 2012 5:48 am

I just booked my flights for September from BNE-SIN-KUL-SIN-BNE with Qantas/Malaysia Airlines. I have read that Brisbane to Singapore has recently changed from A330 to B747 and would love to know if this is the newly refitted 747-400 like the A380 interior? Thanks

Hi Ocean

Yes, BNE-SIN-BNE is operated by refurbished 747-400's both -ER and non -ER. They usually route BNE-SIN-BNE-LAX-BNE-SIN-BNE, not including sub ins of course.

Hi guys,

just noticed the same for my upcoming trip to Europe in September (BNE-SIN-HEL-HAM and back TXL-HEL-SIN-BNE). Even better, it seems flight QF 52 coming back from SIN September 22 is not a refurbished 744 and I was able to pick seat 1K even though I am booked in business all the way.

Is my assumption correct that this is still a first class seat but is open for business class passengers as this flight does not offer first class ?

Seems on my way to SIN on 13.09. I am scheduled to fly on a refurbished 744 and have managed to reserve 5J (single seat emergency exit on the lower deck).

Can't tell you how exited I am to finally fly again on a 744 after countless flights on A330, A340 and A380 equipment in the past to Europe. Counting the weeks until it is time to fly and secure another year of platinum status.

Cheers from Brisbane,

Peter
