Websites For Finding All Carriers Between Cities?

Sun Jul 29, 2012 6:15 am

Hello all. I am curious if anyone could recommend a website that shows all flights between cities. Not prices but strictly schedules. In other words, if I put in Toronto-YYZ to Frankfurt-FRA I want to get a list of both non-stop and connecting flights. Basically I would like to find a website that you can put in two city pairs, anywhere in the world, and get the flights between the two!! Any suggestions are welcome!!!!

I think Amadeus should do the trick, you have both the fares and schedules.

Interesting, Amadeus.net looks identical to kayak.

You might also want to try out www.non-rev.com. You can all routes by airport, or do a search on city pairs. Data is sometimes missing for the newest route changes, but overall should work for you.

Google does a pretty decent job of it. If you type 'flights HKG to SEL' into the search bar google will give you a schedule and also ask if you want to look at a list of all flights into HKG or SEL.

Funny you should say that, I was just looking for the same very thing yesterday and today. Here are two resources which may be of use:

www.flightaware.com

Flight Aware is nice because it shows all scheduled traffic including cargo. You can filter by airline, day of departure, etc.

Quickest and Easiest has been google.

Search "flights from XXX to XXX"

Gives you the weeks schedule with airlines, flight numbers and flight times. However, it does not give aircraft type, nor does it give the odd schedule changes (such as my SQ flight from SIN to PER that was moved back 1h and given a new flight number, but only for one day).

So, if you want a quick idea of flights, google is great and easy. It's what I use.

Does anyone know when they started pulling this information. I first noticed it maybe 6-7 months ago, but still seems pretty new. How exactly does the information get pulled together?

Late 2011. They acquired a company (ITA) which specializes in flight information.

My recommendation is www.quicktrip.com , but keep in mind that flights are shown day-specific.

That's the one I usually use for quick schedule checks. You have to select whether you want all flights (including connections), nonstop flights or direct flights (same flight number but with intermediate stops). As you say, you may also get no results if there are no flights that day, so to get a complete picture for a week you have to check every day that week.

That site does have some minor problems. For example, it has long had the wrong time zone information for points in the Canadian province of Newfoundland which makes the elapsed tme information wrong. I have e-mailed them about this a couple of times but it has never been fixed.
