Inflight Service On Swiss

Wed Aug 22, 2012 11:24 am

I'd like to find out what can be expected on a LX 2 hour morning flight. I'm flying 2 back to back two hour flights(Y class) and I'm curious about entertainment and food/drinks offered. Thanks!

Depends on the route really ?

Some ideas in my report although over 2 hours ! :

Swiss J Class DUB-ZRH-ATH-ZRH-DUB + Lounges W/PICS (by oa260 Mar 18 2011 in Trip Reports)

And fellow Anetter on a shorter flight :

Mileage Run On LX C: TXL-ZRH-ATH-ZRH-BCN (by Rogerbcn Jan 4 2010 in Trip Reports)

To narrow it down we would need the route . The overhead screens show route info and adverts. Also a comedy program .

In Swiss Y Class it tends to be drinks with snack or similar.

Thank you! The route is SKG-ZRH-ARN if that makes it easier but I think it's pretty much what you described earlier. Great pics btw...!

Arr ok yes the service will be same. I have done SKG-ZRH numerous times in J but not Y . Glad you liked the pics.

Don't expect full meals inside Europe in Y, on my GVA-ATH/ATH-ZRH flights they offered the tiniest hot meal I ever saw on a plane, a small matchbox sized tray with pasta. Probably you'll either get that or a sandwich.
nobody has ever died from hard work, but why take the risk?

I just took on 8/27 Swiss Int'l FCO to ZRH at 9:35 am (about 1 1/2 hrs duration) and we got a chocolate croissant type of thing with coffee/tea. Just drop down video with flight map.

Thank you. I guess that's pretty good compared to other airlines for flights of that duration. I bet the chocolate was good, lol

Similar service on my recent intra-Europe flights with LX too. See: Hopping Over The Alps To Nice On LX Via ZRH & GVA (by roberts87 Aug 8 2012 in Trip Reports) Although the SKG and ARN sectors are bit longer, so you might get something a bit more substantial.
