Non Rev On UPS

Sat Nov 03, 2012 11:57 pm

Does UPS allow employees from other airlines, like AA, DL and UA to fly on its cargo flights? Aren't there several seats between the cockpit and the cargo section that could be used for this purpose?

I believe the only employees of other airlines that UPS allows to jumpseat are pilots, but I'm not 100% sure.

A regular, non-pilot employee cannot non-rev on UPS. However, most pilots are able to jumpseat, depending on reciprocal agreement and CASS eligibility. FedEx offers the same to other-airline pilots and dispatchers.

You have to call them on the details and booking, but I know an airline employee (non pilot, flight attendant, or ops) that non-reved on FX. Check with your employer if they have shared flight benefits with whoever you plan on flying.

As a dispatcher, I rode UPS many times. UPS is great. The MD11 and B747 are very nice. I also have jumped on Fedex. Most jumpseat agreements include dispatchers with the pilots. Dont ask me why pilots were nice enough to include us and not anyone else lol.
