Just one last thing... I will warn you that you might feel as though the seat back in front of you is quite close. The new QF
seats on the A380s and refurbished 744s are excellent, but they are quite closely spaced together. They also have fairly tall seat backs which means that, to me at least, it feels as though less ambient light makes it to your "space". I generally find that the whole set up is a bit tight for the first 10 minutes...
...BUT I think the legroom is excellent. I can't really explain it, but it is almost as though the bottom of the seat in front of you is actually higher off the ground than a normal Y seat. This means that I can fully stretch my legs out horizontal.
It is an incredibly efficient design since it maximises leg room while allowing a denser configuration, and once you get used to the fact that the PTV is slightly closer than normal then it really isn't a problem at all. I'd take the ability to stretch my legs out over a more conventional configuration any day!
If you don't mind, would you be able to post a brief review of your QF
experience here? I don't mean a trip report, just a sentence or two about your impression. It's just that I am in no way impartial when it come to QF
, so I'm always interested in hearing a "third party" perspective, which is probably more reflective of reality than my rose-tinted lenses!!!
