AA International Config. 757 On MCO-MIA Dec 23rd?

Mon Nov 19, 2012 11:37 pm

Hey Everyone,

Am I seeing this correctly? AA has a 757 international on the MCO-MIA route December 23rd, AA571. I'm trying to figure out if it's just a system mistake or they have actually scheduled this aircraft for that flight. Strange... Let me know what you all think.

Yes, during that schedule, AA 571 is an int'l configured 757 (75L). It's not strange as AA operates the 75L from MIA to a few cities (SSA, REC, BSB). A few years ago when the 75Ls were in the process of being reconfigured, AA operated a 75L turn into MCO. Some domestic routes where you can see them regularly are MCO-JFK, MIA-JFK, MIA-BOS.

And for some strange reason MIA-EWR-MIA.

I guess if they are being used for Flights down to South America during the day they need to fly somewhere. No reason to hold them on the ground. A 757 is a 757.
