VS Interline Baggage Question

Sun Feb 03, 2013 11:07 pm

A friend of mine is travelling SNN-LHR-DXB with EI and VS in the near future and booked the ticket through a third party travel website. She would be entitled to check-in one free bag under VS's baggage policy but would she have to pay the EI checked bag fee for the SNN-LHR/LHR-SNN flights? The whole ticket has one reservation number but EI and VS are not codeshare partners. Both EI and VS websites aren't clear on the arrangement here.

I appreciate any help!

For the purposes of defining the baggage allowance, The "trip" is effectively SNN-DXB-SNN and therefore the better (long haul) allowance would apply. The 1st bag should be free as long as the whole trip is on the same itinerary.
So long 701, it was nice knowing you.

It's probably a through fare, and then she will have 1 piece concept. It's written in the electronic ticket anyway. I would suggest to contact the travel agency, they will be able to tell.
