CX's New Long Haul Business Question

Thu Feb 14, 2013 8:26 am

I'm planning to travel SYD-LHR in Business on CX next month. Just seeking some feedback on their new long haul Business product before I decide. How does it compare to BA or QF? Thanks

CX new long haul business class is way superior over Qantas' flat bed and league ahead of British Airways' Club World cabin.

All Sydney to Hong Kong flights feature the new long haul business class now, but for London Heathrow, most of the flights feature the new long haul business class, except the sole 747-400 flight, which features the older generation of herringbone business class seats.

Just make sure the LHR flights are on Boeing 777-300ERs/77W!

I fully endorse Carfield's comments above. I am a QF Platinum FF and live in Paris. I have the choices on OW of QF/BA via LHR and Asia, CX from CDG and from April EK from CDG sold as QF.

CX is by far the best J class of all of these, and perhaps in the world. Just ensure you are on only 77W and A330's and you will get the new J which is on a par with the old QF, BA F.

Cheers.

Just to pile on....The new J class seat on CX is comparable to many F products. Spectacular.

...and also thanks to what I consider being the best J seat: the Cirrus.
