LGA To JFK Transfer. 3 Hrs?

Fri Mar 08, 2013 2:37 pm

Flying out with some friends overseas in a few weeks and a friend - waiting last minute - could only get a connection flight in NY using her AA frequent flier miles.

Turns out she lands at LGA at 6:10PM and she leaves from JFK at 9:35PM. What are the odd of her not making it? Its on a Monday in April.

Any advice? Should i push her to find an alternative or is it doable? I don't want my vacation to start by people missing connections and failing to meet with us

Thanks!

It´s close, but doable. It´s just a matter of how much value yu put in peace of mind.

Assuming things are ontime and she preferably has carry-on only yes its doable.

Cab between LGA and JFK should be under 30-mins assuming there is nothing unusual going on.

btw - this has been asked many many times already -

Take the 'NY Airporter' bus. Convenient (basically, door-to-door), quick (it will STILL be rush hour), less than $15 (or thereabouts). Have her try to check in for her JFK-departing flight at when she arrives at LGA.
Just accept that some days, you're the pigeon, and other days the statue
