KL flies SIN-DPS

Up till a few months back, LH flew SIN-CGK
and LX used to fly SIN-BKK.
JL also flew SIN-KUL for awhile, a 30 minute practically-domestic flight!

Up till a few months back I didn't know UA flies SIN-HKG. I wonder the loads are like with their one flight against the two rivals SQ and CX plying the route. No one in Singapore seems to know about this flight either. They advertise their SIN-NRT flight but never seen for one to HKG.

That is Jetstar Asia (3K), not Jetstar (JQ). Jetstar Asia is a Singapore-based subsidiary so it is not unusual.

I'm pretty sure JQ operates PER-DPS-SIN with an Australian aircraft and crew.

SIN-DPS on QR.

Also CX offer flight from TPE to ICN, NRT, KIX, FUK, NGO and a few other places in Japan.
Let's fly! Unless it's on a CRJ 200, then I'll stay down here.

LH also has BKK-SGN-BKK.

FRA-BKK is extended to KUL 4 days a week and to SGN the other 3 days (or the other way around, I can't remember).

CX flies BKK-SIN.

CI has SIN-SUB and HKG-CGK. HKG-BKK too.

United has NRT-SIN in addition to the routes you already mentioned.

GA used to have a bunch of fifth freedom flights via SIN, but I think they've all been dropped.

Going slightly further afield, there's BA's SIN-SYD.

Public service announcement: "It's" = "it is". To indicate posession, write "its." Looks wrong, but it's correct grammar

UA:

Many of these routes came from the purchase of Pan Am's Pacific route network. Those routes originated with Pan Am at a time where there were no local region airlines capable of operating the routes. UA also picked up some routes from the merger with Continental, especially the Guam hub of Air Micronesia. Pan Am created the first Around the World flights with a DC-4 from the US west coast through Hawaii, Wake, Guam, Manila, Bangkok to Calcutta where it met the Constellation flying from the US east coast through Europe and across southwest Asia.

Quoting rwsea (Reply 10):
DL:

Many of these routes came from Northwest. That airline actually pioneered the norther route through Alaska to Japan. Shemya, the westernmost Aleutian island was a regular stop in 1947 on their DC-4 route.

Northwest established the start of their Far East hub at Haneda in 1947.

In 1951, Northwest worked to help found Japan Airlines, and a 1952 treaty gave Northwest and Pan Am fifth freedom rights to carry passengers from Japan to other destinations in the Far East.

If you include the Middle East, Muscat has a few 5th freedom flights: AUH-MCT with BA and LH and DXB-MCT with LX.

Another interesting, short-lived (I think it run from roughly from 2010 to 2011 or 2012) 5th freedom was (I see now they just dropped JED) DXB-JED with CZ. I flew that flight once and I couldn't even manage to book it through China Southern's (messy) website, so I used an online travel agent... and it worked.

CX has a minihub in BKK. I flew one of their 330s Bangkok-Delhi last year.

I think EK fly DXB-CMB-SIN but I'm not sure if the Colombo-Singapore leg is bookable.

I'm sure there are many more flights I know of but have forgotten...

That's surprising considering that UA has been operating the SIN-HKG tag-on sector for over 26 years since they acquired Pan Am's Pacific routes in 1986. And Pan Am had been operating it since the mid-1970s. It was a 747SP during that period operating SIN-HKG-SFO. The Pan Am 747SP flight HKG-SFO was the first nonstop service from HKG to North America.

3K doesn't fly SIN-DPS or any Indonesian routes. They are still operated by 3K planes but under the VF code due to restrictions.

LH can't carry local traffic on that domestic sector. It would be cabotage which is very rarely permitted (except within the EU for EU-based carriers and one or two other exceptions, like the Australia/New Zealand single market for carriers based in those countries).

There are a few carriers that fly BKK-HKG. They are EK, RJ, KQ, ET, and UL. All can be booked as this leg without the long haul.

There used to be many more when multi-stop flights were much more common. In 1983 in addition to CX and TG, the OAG shows 11 carriers with 5th freedom service BKK-HKG: QF, CI, JL, SQ, AF, UL, AI, LH, SR, BA, AZ.

HKG-TYO was another sector with many 5th freedom operators. In that same 1983 schedule, apart from CX and JL, there was 5th freedom service by NW, PA, CP, AZ, LH, SR, BA, AI, SQ, MH, TG.

KL does not have fifth freedom rights on this route. Also, with the taxes that ostensibly forced KL to make MNL one-stop now gone, I hope they make good on their promise to restore the AMS-MNL nonstop.

BA fly AUH-MCT-AUH and LH fly ASB-GYD-ASB

Maybe not what the poster had in mind, however, technically Asia.

There could well be others within these regions.
